mousesports edge out Cloud9 to clinch playoffs spot

mousesports edged out Cloud9 2-0 (Mirage 16-14, Train 19-16) to clinch the last playoffs spot at StarSeries i-League Season 4.
Starting off on the Terrorist side of Mirage, MOUZ kicked things off with a 3-0 lead on the back of Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný's triple from connector while the rest of the team executed from pit and apps. A close B retake then saw Cloud9 pick up their first round, although MOUZ struck back with another A execute to break their opponents economy.
A forcebuy win on B, when Jake "Stewie2K" Yip grabbed three kills on the defence, wasn't enough to turn things around, as C9's bank was decimated again after the next round and MOUZ capitalized on it, powering to an 8-2 lead. The Americans' double AWP setup didn't work out either, although a quad-kill from Timothy "autimatic" Ta gave Cloud9 one more round before the half ended at 12-3 in favor of the European squad.
The deficit was down to six rounds once the next pistol and two antiecos passed, but the gunrounds saw MOUZ reach match point at 15-6. It seemed as if it was only a matter of time before they finished off the match, but Cloud9 began mounting a comeback, with autimatic giving his team key openings on the offense. It wasn't until the very last round that MOUZ closed it out, countering C9's attack from connector.
Train, MOUZ' pick, began with Cloud9 securing the pistol after William "RUSH" Wierzba defused the bomb in a smoke. Two of the first three gunrounds went MOUZ' way, giving them a 5-3 lead as Cloud9 either had to force up or eco after each loss. That's when the American side put their foot down and started gaining the edge, with autimatic getting an AWP quad-kill en route to a 9-5 lead.
The last round seemed like a whitewash on the A bombsite, as oskar found himself in a 1v4 situation, but a timely push through a smoke gave him the opportunity to take down three and win the extended 1v1 on B in the end. Combined with a pistol round win, MOUZ soon equalized things at 9-9.
Cloud9 once again strung several rounds together for a 14-9 lead, with Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham clutching a 1v2 along the way, and quickly clinched match point in response to Chris "chrisJ" de Jong's ace. It was oskar's time to shine again, that time clutching a quick 1v3 from behind the A site, helping his team climb back to force overtime. There, Cloud9 were only able to win one round on the Terrorist side while MOUZ grabbed two in each half, securing a spot in the playoffs at 19-16, 2-0.
